In this collection, Yina Hwang was mainly inspired by shapes that are symmetric and asymmetric with a touch of underground music culture. She curated this collection based on her pivotal moment of self embracement to create a collection of functional yet abstract garments and accessories to embody the story of her experience. Every print and fabric in the project is original and she mainly used PU leather, Satin, Power Mash, and Spandex for the base of the fabrics.
Continue readingThis design tells about the Great Silk Road, a unique social phenomenon when the East became acquainted with the West and both worlds were enriched with knowledge of each other. Each item in the collection is made of natural fabrics and manually decorated with silk ribbons. Each item is a postcard from different places and tells its own story. Here you can see the rice terraces of China, and night in the Japanese garden, and patterns of wind on the sands in the desert, and feel the coolness of oases.
Continue readingInspired by a famous choreographer - Yin Mei’s wise words “I can create an architecture space using my joints, which is already telling a story”, Sense Move Costume is a geometrical kinetic sculpture folding following along with the movement of the body. It communicates sensitively through the body movements of the dancers, and enhances the emotional transmission between the dancer and the audience. The different light effects express the costume’s emotions by the pressure sensor; for instance, a slow fade is breathing, and a flash conveys excitement.

The method of joinery was selected to parallel restrictions faced as an aspiring ballet dancer and the sacrifices made to fit unrealistic aesthetic standards of an antiquated industry. The pattern of this garment is constructed mathematically, meticulously considered by standards of form, fashion and functionality. Unlike the flow of fabricated textiles, this garment pushes technical boundaries through unparalleled juxtaposition.

They applied the colors for the artworks based on the nature explicitly which are observed vividly through the nature. Besides, It designed the patterns in the form of carpets actual designing. They has performed all production process completely by hand and all the products will be in the form of handmade collection and winter hand-woven clothes.

Following the minimalist design principle, the garments keep fresh and neat appearance with simple silhouettes and clear outlines. Details such as oversized collars, Velcro loop closures and asymmetric structures provide visual highlights to the looks. Low saturated Morandi color selection helps neutralize color temperatures to create more gentle elegant textures for the garments. There is no need to follow the others. Beauties are hidden in the true selves, pure, simple, unique and special.
